Bernie Ecclestone, Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris Among Key Winners at the Autosport Awards

The Autosport Awards honored top motorsport figures, including Bernie Ecclestone, Max Verstappen, and Lando Norris, alongside rising stars like Deagen Fairclough.
The Autosport Awards, a key event in motorsport, took place on January 29, 2025, at London’s Roundhouse, marking the beginning of the 75th year of Autosport and the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Among the notable honorees were Bernie Ecclestone, who received the 75th Anniversary trophy for his transformative role in Formula 1, and Max Verstappen, who won the International Racing Driver of the Year award for the fourth time following his fourth consecutive Formula 1 drivers' title.

Verstappen also claimed the Moment of the Year prize for his victory at the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Lando Norris was named British Competition Driver of the Year after securing McLaren’s first Constructors’ Championship title in 26 years, along with four Grand Prix wins during the 2024 season.

His McLaren MCL38, along with teammate Oscar Piastri’s contributions, won the International Competition Car of the Year Award.

The ceremony also celebrated emerging talent, with 21-year-old Abbi Pulling crowned F1 ACADEMY champion after a dominant season.

She will now race in GB3 for 2025. The Silverstone Autosport BRDC Young Driver Award, which has previously identified future Formula 1 stars, went to Deagen Fairclough, the British Formula 4 champion, who will receive a £200,000 prize and an F1 test with Aston Martin.

Other award winners included Andrea Stella, named Person of the Year, Sebastien Ogier as International Rally Driver of the Year, and Jake Hill as National Driver of the Year.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix was recognized as Promoter of the Year, while Pirelli received the Pioneering & Innovation Award for its Forest Stewardship Council-certified tyres.

The evening concluded with a DJ set by international artist Melanie C.
