Fire Incident Involves Caravans and Minors in Daluis, France
Emergency services respond to a fire affecting multiple caravans and a vehicle in the Alpes-Maritimes region.
On the afternoon of June 9, 2025, emergency services in the Alpes-Maritimes region of France were dispatched to a fire in Daluis that involved five caravans and a car.
The fire required the intervention of approximately 20 firefighters and 10 vehicles from various fire stations in the surrounding area.
Notably, the incident raised safety concerns due to the presence of gas bottles within the caravans.
A rapid response included containment efforts that addressed an initial spread of the fire, which affected an estimated area of 4,000 square meters of adjacent forest.
The response teams successfully mitigated the risk of further spread.
Three minors were involved in the incident and have since been taken into custody by local gendarmerie units.
Reports indicate that their condition does not raise significant concern.
However, the cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time.
The Service départemental d’Incendie et de Secours (SDIS) of Alpes-Maritimes has urged the public to avoid obstructing emergency vehicles responding to the scene and advised motorists to proceed slowly near the vicinity of Daluis school.
An investigation has been initiated by the Nice prosecutor’s office, with preliminary indications pointing towards a possible deliberate ignition.
Emergency services remain on-site to ensure safety and carry out any necessary interventions.
