Princess Caroline Honors 'Aux Coeurs des Mots' Writing Contest in Monaco
The annual event celebrated students overcoming discrimination, with Lebanon taking the top prize.
On March 19, Princess Caroline of Hanover presided over the awards ceremony for the 'Aux Coeurs des Mots' writing contest, an initiative inviting participants to embody a journalist's perspective while meeting someone who has successfully overcome discrimination.
Representing her brother, Prince Albert II, the Honorary President of the association, Princess Caroline attended the prestigious event moderated by author Laurence Genevet.
This marked the fourth edition of the competition, themed 'My Difference, My Strength.'
Lebanon emerged as the grand winner of this year's contest, with Romania securing second place.
Switzerland, Mauritius, and France rounded out the top five positions in this remarkable edition.
Prior to the ceremony, Princess Caroline participated in a group photo with jury members, honored guests, and association members, symbolizing the collective commitment to the values promoted by 'Aux Coeurs des Mots.'
Hilde Haneuse-Heye, the founder of the association, previously highlighted the importance of fostering change from a young age, stating, 'When you want to change things, you have to act from a young age.' The competition is held under the patronage of the International Organisation of La Francophonie and takes place in schools that teach French, a language that 'erases borders and unites cultures.'
