The inaugural 'blue carpet' event showcases renowned actors and celebrates the television industry.
On a balmy summer evening, the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco hosted the blue carpet of the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
This year's event marked a special occasion as numerous esteemed figures from the television world gathered to celebrate their craft and connect with their audience.
Prominent names such as Pierre Arditi, Helena Noguerra, Judith Light, Jean-Marc Barr, and Jean-Luc Reichmann were among those present, each posing for photographs and engaging with fans.
Jean-Marc Barr, notable for his performance in 'Le Grand Bleu,' drew particular attention, generating excitement upon his arrival.
Pierre Arditi, visibly delighted to be back at the festival, humorously remarked to attendees, “I came here when you weren’t even born!” This light-hearted comment reflected his fondness for the principality and its royal family.
A demonstration of this bond was evident when Prince Albert II awarded Arditi with a crystal Nymph in recognition of his enduring career during the opening ceremony.
Jean-Luc Reichmann, who recently joined the cast of TF1's daily series 'Demain nous appartient,' also shared nostalgic memories of his beginnings in Monaco, stating, “I began my career in 1972 in the offices of RMC on Boulevard Princesse-Charlotte.” This festival presented a backdrop where personal anecdotes intertwined with professional milestones, enriching the atmosphere with a sense of shared history and celebration.
In attendance alongside Prince Albert II were his nephew Louis Ducruet and his wife Marie, as well as his niece Camille Gottlieb.
The royal family made a point to interact with festival attendees, engaging in handshakes, smiles, autographs, and selfies, demonstrating a commitment to connection with the public.
The evening culminated with the premiere screening of the series 'Watson,' adding to the excitement of the opening ceremony.
Other notable appearances included Jaz Sinclair, recognized as the international best hope of the Nymph d'Or for her role in 'Gen-V,' and various actors from acclaimed series such as 'L'art du crime' and 'Rivages,' enhancing the festival's profile within the global television landscape.
