Telis Marks 25 Years of Digital Services in Monaco

The Monaco-based digital company celebrated its anniversary with partners and clients, highlighting its evolution and future ambitions.
Telis, a prominent digital services company in Monaco, celebrated its 25th anniversary on June 3, 2025, at the Auditorium Rainier III, bringing together partners, clients, and employees to commemorate this milestone.

The event featured a retrospective exhibition showcasing Telis's history and significant contributions to the digital landscape of Monaco, as well as a video presentation detailing the company's achievements and future goals.

This gathering provided an opportunity for attendees to engage with key partners, including associations and suppliers, underscoring Telis's role in the digital transition in the Principality.

Co-founder Thierry Leray reflected on the company's origins, noting that in the early 2000s, the digital landscape was markedly different.

With a starting capital of €150,000, the founding team saw significant potential as Internet technologies began to emerge.

They identified a gap in high-quality telecommunication services, positioning the company between 2000 and 2005 to capitalize on opportunities as more businesses sought advanced communication solutions.

In its formative years, Telis secured major contracts with entities such as the Société des Bains de Mer (SBM) and the Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG).

The company consciously opted to turn down numerous business opportunities during its initial six months to focus on a long-term strategy centered on customized system deployments.

Over the years, Telis has become a key player among both public and private sector clients, working with the Government of Monaco, local municipalities, the Automobile Club de Monaco, the AS Monaco Football Club, SMEG, and several financial institutions.

Over its 25-year history, Telis has adapted to significant developments in the digital realm by closely responding to client needs.

The company has placed great emphasis on security and proactive measures.

It has been at the forefront of critical innovations, including the installation of Monaco's first green data center and the establishment of business continuity plans following the events of September 11, 2001. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the importance of digital services, as many businesses relied on technology to maintain operations during the crisis.

In recent discussions, Leray acknowledged the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and its integration into Telis's operations.

Although the company does not sell AI solutions, it utilizes AI technologies to enhance productivity and automate specific tasks, while maintaining human oversight to ensure safety and the ability to revert decisions if necessary.

Today, Telis comprises three companies employing 95 people and generating an annual revenue of €25 million.

The group includes Telis as the flagship, Actis for enterprise data backup solutions, and Easy One for multimedia development.

This structure allows the company to provide comprehensive services addressing a wide range of client needs, including international outreach.
