5th Annual PropTech Symposia Emphasizes AI Innovations in Real Estate
Industry leaders gather in Monaco to discuss the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the property sector
On March 10, 2025, the 5th edition of the PropTech Symposia was held under the auspices of the Princely Government of Monaco, in collaboration with the Monaco Economic Board (MEB), ESCP Business School, and various professional chambers and unions from the sector.
The event was attended by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Government Counselor-Minister acting as Minister of State, and featured renowned experts from both the real estate and technology industries who explored the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the real estate sector.
The symposium was themed "PropTech: Reinventing the Future of Real Estate" and provided an immersive experience focused on transformative innovations, addressing strategic challenges, new economic models, and practical applications of AI in real estate.
Prior to the main conference, around thirty industry experts and resident investors from the Principality engaged with key opinion leaders and panelists in an exclusive format, organized in partnership with the Government's Attractiveness Cell and the Monaco Private Label network.
The conference opened with a presentation by Dominique Alba, General Director of Ateliers Jean Nouvel, discussing the integration of AI in architectural and urban design.
Subsequent sessions featured a panel of experts who shared insights into the future of technology and AI within real estate:
- Ana Lozano Portillo, General Director at Nidus Lab, addressed automation and generative AI in property design.
- Brice Vandevoorde, General Director at Realiz, spoke on new economic models driven by tokenization and AI.
- Jaime Luque, Professor at ESCP Business School, analyzed market trends and the impact of technology on real estate investment.
- Anas Bataw, Partner at Zacua Ventures and consultant for the Saudi Public Investment Fund (worth $937 billion in assets), discussed leveraging AI to enhance productivity and sustainability in urban development.
The discussion was moderated by Thierry Cherel, Director of Natixis CIB Research, and led by Geneviève Berti, Director of Communication for the Princely Government.
Since 2019, the Monaco Government and ESCP Business School have collaborated through the chair of "Real Estate Tech," inaugurated in Paris with the attendance of His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince.
This partnership has led to notable initiatives such as the creation of the Global PropTech Barometer, a reference publication orchestrated by the Digital Economy Cell, highlighting emerging trends shaping the future of real estate technologies.
The 2024 edition was previewed at the 5th PropTech Symposia and is available on the official Monaco for Enterprises website.
The symposium concluded with a networking session, allowing participants to share experiences and initiate new collaborations.
Featuring a high-level program and the presence of esteemed experts alongside approximately 150 industry professionals, PropTech Symposia 2025 underscored its role as a key event for anticipating the market shifts in the real estate sector in the age of artificial intelligence.
The event continues to pursue three key objectives aligned with Monaco’s economic agenda:
- Highlighting the annual edition of the Global PropTech Barometer.
- Supporting industry professionals in adopting best digital practices applied to their fields.
- Enhancing Monaco’s attractiveness to technology companies specializing in Real Estate and Construction Technologies (known as "PropTech"), an industry valued at $634 trillion, projected to grow by 13.6% in 2024 with €47.94 billion raised.
