Final Season of 'HPI' Premieres on TF1

Final Season of 'HPI' Premieres on TF1

The highly successful French series returns for its fifth and final season, featuring new plot developments and guest appearances.
The popular French television series 'HPI' (Haut Potentiel Intellectuel) commenced its fifth and final season on Thursday, May 15, 2025, on TF1.

Over the past four years, the series has garnered significant viewership, with last season averaging 8.3 million viewers per episode.

The character Morgane Alvaro, portrayed by Audrey Fleurot, has been central to the series, which is known for its blend of comedy and crime-solving.

This season, described by co-producer Paul Laugier as a spectacular finale where 'each episode is a firework,' aims to bring joy to its audience through unexpected plot twists and character developments.

Both returning characters, including Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou), Gilles (Bruno Sanches), Daphné (Bérangère McNeese), and commissioner Céline (Marie Denarnaud), will feature prominently alongside notable guest appearances throughout the episodes, with significant roles for influential characters appearing, particularly in the first episode and towards the end of the season.

Viewers can expect to see Morgane navigate the complexities of coparenting with the father of her child, Adam Karadec, while exploring their evolving relationship which has fluctuated between romance, friendship, and rivalry.

This dynamic raises the question of whether a stable relationship may finally emerge between the two.

As anticipation builds for the concluding season, the pressure on the cast and crew is palpable.

The creators recognize the inherent challenges of concluding a popular series, expressing hope that the final episodes will meet audience expectations while delivering compelling storylines and police intrigue.

Innovative storytelling techniques are also promised this season.

Noteworthy is episode four's unique setting aboard a train, a first for the series, showcasing complex logistical challenges.

Moreover, the season opener pays homage to the acclaimed American series '24 Hours' by incorporating a split-screen technique, reflecting the production's commitment to creative visual storytelling.

Throughout the season, various cultural references will be interwoven into the narrative, drawing inspiration from classic detective novels, video games, and films, enriching the viewing experience.

'HPI' featuring Audrey Fleurot launched its fifth season on TF1 at 21:10 on May 15, 2025.
