1,430 dogs registered from 262 breeds and 29 countries at the Monaco International Dog Show.
The Monaco International Dog Show took place on May 10 and 11, 2025, at the Fontvieille area of Monaco, featuring a record 1,430 registered dogs.
This year's event saw the representation of 262 breeds from 29 different countries, reflecting the show's growing global significance.
The show is organized by the Société Canine de Monaco, which was established in 1927 by Princess Charlotte.
She served as president until 1950, after which her daughter, Princess Antoinette, assumed the role until her death in 2011. The current president, Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy, has held the position since 2020, having previously been vice-president since 2011.
A panel of nine judges from various countries, including Spain, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Peru, Romania, and Switzerland, evaluated the competing dogs across multiple categories.
This year's show will highlight French breeds such as the Pyrenean Sheepdog, Beauce Sheepdog, Brie Shepherd, and Picardy Shepherd.
Categories for judging included Minor Puppy (ages 3-6 months), Puppy (ages 6-9 months), Junior (ages 9-18 months), and Veterans (7 years and older).
Additionally, a Junior Handler competition was featured for young participants, divided into two groups: Group 1 for ages 5-9 years and Group 2 for ages 10-17.
Attendees had access to catering services provided by Monte-Carlo Catering, as well as a snack bar operated by Amore Mio.
Entrance to the event was priced at 10 euros, with free admission for children under 12 years of age.
This year’s show is not only a celebration of canines but also a significant event in the international dog show calendar.
