Monaco's delegation has achieved remarkable success at the European Small States Games in Andorra, collecting a total of 34 medals after only three days of competition, surpassing the total medal count from 2023. This achievement reflects a strong performance across multiple sporting disciplines.
In gymnastics, Hugo Villeneuve secured the gold medal in the pommel horse event with a score of 12.400, followed closely by Lilian Piotte who won silver with 11.933 points.
Piotte also earned a bronze medal on the parallel bars with a score of 11.700.
Kévin Crovetto claimed silver in the rings with a score of 11.767, while Rebecca Casula attained silver on the uneven bars with 10.950 points.
In swimming, Lisa Pou celebrated her birthday by winning gold in the 1,500-meter freestyle with a new Games record time of 16:57.00. She also secured a bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:20.69. Raphaël Sirour and Esteban Faure achieved a silver and bronze medal respectively in the 1,500-meter freestyle, with times of 16:03.89 and 16:04.52. Issei Kim won gold in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 22.80 seconds, while Gabriel Crassard and Giulia Viacava earned silver medals in the 200-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke, posting times of 1:52.21 and 1:05.45, respectively.
The women's 4x200-meter freestyle relay team, consisting of Giulia Viacava, Eliza Nikandrov, Lisa Pou, and Léa Maric, captured a bronze medal with a time of 8:43.84.
In judo, following individual events, both men’s and women’s teams secured gold medals.
The female team, comprised of Sara Allag, Omaïraa Aubry, Rania Drid, and Lou Vatan, triumphed in their events, while the male team, including David Buliga, Marvin Gadeau, Marc-Elie Gnamien, Abdelsalem Khiri, Louis Lallau, and Mathieu Pettiti, also achieved victory.
In athletics, Jean Woloch dominated the pole vault competition, clearing a height of 5.20 meters, while Téo Andant won the gold medal in the 400 meters with a time of 45.91 seconds.
The women's 3x3 basketball team, featuring Kimsy Demontoux, Lucie Laroche, Lala Wane, and Jennifer Crocioni, earned a bronze medal after defeating Cyprus with a score of 19-14.
Looking ahead, the prospects for further medals are promising, with the men's doubles tennis team advancing to the finals, and strong positions in rugby sevens (semi-finals) and beach volleyball, where both teams remain undefeated.
