Monaco Commemorates Prince Rainier III with Centenary Albums Distributed to Residents

Residents can collect commemorative albums celebrating the historic events of 2023 marking the centenary of Prince Rainier III's birth.
In a significant initiative marking the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III, the municipality of Monaco has begun distributing commemorative albums to local families.

The collection of albums titled "Retour en Images" aims to encapsulate the momentous celebrations of 2023, which commenced on May 31, 2023. This day was marked by a large gathering on the Rock of Monaco, with Princess Stéphanie, president of the Commemoration Committee, describing the occasion as "magical" and highlighting the enthusiasm from attendees of all ages.

The initiative is supported by Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie, and seeks to preserve important memories associated with this centenary celebration.

Each album set includes two carefully curated photographic books: the first documents the historic events of May 31, while the second compiles the various commemorative activities that took place throughout the year.

The distribution of the albums is organized in two phases.

Residents can collect their albums at the Espace Léo Ferré from June 2 to June 13, between 9 AM and 5 PM. Following this initial phase, distribution will continue at the Town Hall, specifically at the Civil Status Office from June 16, operating from 8:30 AM to 4 PM, until supplies last.

In addition to the albums, commemorative flags and items emblazoned with "Centenary" will also be available, subject to stock availability.

Strict guidelines govern the distribution process: each household is entitled to receive one album set, which will only be provided to adults presenting a Monaco identity card.

Young adults aged 18 to 29 who reside with their parents are counted within the same household allocation.

For senior residents who utilize home care services, personalized delivery will be arranged by municipal teams to facilitate access without the need for travel.
