Key discussions on political, social, and economic issues in Austria, Germany, and Poland.
On May 30, 2025, the Embassy of Monaco in Germany convened its honorary consuls in Vienna, Austria, under the joint initiative of H.E. Mr. Lorenzo Ravano, the Monaco Ambassador to Germany, who is also accredited to Austria and Poland, and Mr. Christian Dorda, Monaco's honorary consul in Vienna.
The gathering, a traditional consular meeting, provided a platform for informative and convivial exchanges regarding the Principality's situation and its bilateral relations with the three countries.
The meeting's discussions were particularly pertinent given the current political climate, which includes early legislative elections in Germany, a new government in Austria, and upcoming presidential elections in Poland.
The attendees addressed the political, social, and economic scenarios unfolding in these nations, enriching the dialogue with insights about the implications for Monaco's foreign policy and diplomatic strategies.
Additionally, the trip included interactions with the German International Club of Monaco, which had organized a visit to Vienna with approximately thirty members.
The cultural program offered was extensive, featuring tours of historic Imperial and Royal manufacturing sites, as well as visits to the Schönbrunn Palace and the Liechtenstein Palace.
A highlight of the trip was a performance of Verdi's opera 'Il Trovatore' at the renowned Staatsoper.
The visit concluded with a gala dinner held in the 'Marble Hall' of the iconic Hotel Sacher, further enhancing the cultural exchange experience among the consuls and members.
