Monaco Run Gramaglia 2025: Traffic Management and Road Adjustments Announced
Significant road closures and public transport changes scheduled for February 8 and 9, 2025, as Monaco prepares for its inaugural trail event.
On February 5, 2025, the Monaco government announced comprehensive traffic management measures for the upcoming Monaco Run Gramaglia, taking place on February 8 and 9, 2025. The event will mark the start of various foot races from the Port Hercule, including the inaugural Mont Agel trail run.
Vehicle Circulation Restrictions
Motorists will face restrictions on several routes during the event:
From 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM on February 8 and from 8:50 AM to 11:30 AM on February 9, the following roads will be closed:
Quai des États-Unis (between the regulated access area and its intersection with Route de la Piscine)
Route de la Piscine
Darse Sud
On February 9, additional closures will be in effect from 8:50 AM to 11:30 AM on:
Avenue J.-F. Kennedy
Boulevard Louis II
For specific times on February 9:
From 8:50 AM to 11:15 AM, the following locations will have restricted access:Rond-point du Portier
Avenue Princesse Grace (with manual traffic regulation for local residents and hotel guests where feasible)
Rond-point du Sporting Monte-Carlo
Rond-point du Monte-Carlo Bay
A complete closure of Quai Albert Ier will occur from midnight on February 6 until 2:00 PM on February 9.
Vehicle Parking Restrictions
Parking will also be limited during the event:
From 10:00 AM on February 6 to 2:00 PM on February 9, parking bans will be enforced on:
Quai des États-Unis
Route de la Piscine
Virage Louis Chiron
Appontement Jules Soccal
Darse Sud
Additionally, from noon on February 8 to noon on February 9, parking will be prohibited on:
Avenue J.-F. Kennedy
Boulevard Louis II
Avenue Princesse Grace
The parking ban on Quai Albert Ier will be effective from midnight on February 6 until 2:00 PM on February 9.
The entirety of the two-wheeled zone on Avenue Hector Otto (in front of No. 20) will also be closed from 11:00 PM on February 7 until 5:00 PM on February 8.
Public Transport Adjustments
Changes to bus services are expected:
The Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco will implement detours for several lines on February 9, starting from the beginning of service until approximately noon:Line 1 (Outbound): Detour via Avenue d’Ostende; returns to normal itinerary at 'Monte-Carlo Tourisme'.
Line 1 (Inbound): Normal itinerary.
Lines 2, 3, and 4: Normal operations.
Line 5 (Outbound): Detour after 'Monte-Carlo Tourisme'; terminus at Place des Moulins until 11:45 AM; access to Avenue Princesse Grace via lifts.
Line 5 (Inbound): Depart from Place des Moulins to normal stop after 'Place du Casino'.
Line 6: No service before approximately 11:45 AM.
Certain stops on Avenue Princesse Grace will not be serviced until around 11:30 AM to noon, with additional restrictions on stops 'Kennedy' and 'Auditorium Rainier III'.
Interurban Bus Services
For the interurban bus services operated by ZOU!, the following adjustments apply:
Lines 600, 602, 603, 605, and 80 will experience delays on February 8 from around 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM during the passing of runners.
Line 80 heading from Monaco to Menton will not serve the 'Spélugues', 'Grimaldi Forum', 'Larvotto', and 'Sporting Bay' stops on February 9 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with temporary replacements at 'Place des Moulins' and 'Saint-Roman MC'.
As the event approaches, residents and visitors are advised to plan accordingly to accommodate for the extensive modifications in traffic and transport operations occurring over the weekend.
