Monaco's Fourth Edition of Monacollecte Set for March 2025

Monaco's Fourth Edition of Monacollecte Set for March 2025

Annual event promotes recycling and reuse with community engagement and charity support.
Monaco will host the fourth edition of Monacollecte on March 7 and 8, 2025. This charitable event aims at collecting, reusing, and recycling items from the public.

Its vision is reinforced by comments from Prince Albert II, who expressed a future where the term "waste" is obsolete, promoting the idea that what is deemed unnecessary by one can become a resource for another.

The initiative is organized jointly by the Société Monégasque d'Assainissement (SMA) and the Department of Urban Development, in collaboration with the Monaco Town Hall.

Community members are encouraged to donate various items, including adults' and children's clothing, underwear, accessories, blankets, bath towels, household linens, school supplies, small furniture, dishes, computer equipment, books, and knick-knacks.

The only prerequisite for donation is that items must be clean and in good condition, ensuring they can be reused by numerous charitable organizations present at the event, such as the Monaco Red Cross, Mission Enfance, the Nice Foundation, and Les Amis du Liban.

Items that cannot be reused, including toxic waste, X-rays, medications, gas bottles, light bulbs, and batteries, will be processed through the recycling or treatment channels managed by SMA.

In addition, free activities, exhibitions, and workshops will be organized to raise public awareness about best waste management practices.

A notable highlight will be an escape room event on Saturday, as well as a fashion show featuring students from the Condamine school.

Practical information for attendees includes:
- Location: Quai Antoine 1er
- Dates: March 7 and 8 from 10 AM to 7 PM
- Free entry for the public
- Drop-off access available
- Further inquiries can be directed to +377 92 05 75 16.
