Monaco Telecom Launches VoLTE for Enhanced Mobile Call Experience
VoLTE technology allows simultaneous voice and internet usage, promising faster connections and improved call quality.
Monaco Telecom has officially rolled out Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology, marking a significant advancement in mobile communications within the Principality of Monaco.
This new service enables customers to experience mobile calls with enhanced quality and speed, reflecting Monaco's commitment to technological innovation.
VoLTE allows mobile calls to connect up to twice as quickly compared to traditional systems.
It incorporates Enhanced Voice Services (EVS), a high-definition audio technology, which significantly improves sound quality during conversations.
Users can also browse the internet at high speeds while on a call, increasing the overall utility of voice services.
A notable feature of VoLTE is its ability to ensure seamless connectivity for users traveling across the French border, maintaining an impressive continuity rate of 99.65% for calls during border transitions.
This service is made available to all mobile customers at no additional cost and can be activated swiftly in just 20 seconds.
Currently, though 88% of Monaco Telecom's customers possess devices that support this feature, only 48% have activated it, equating to less than half of the 36,000 eligible mobile lines.
Martin Péronnet, the General Director of Monaco Telecom, emphasized the company's commitment to continuous improvements in mobile network investments to enhance customer experiences.
To assist users, Monaco Telecom has mobilized its store advisors in Fontvieille and Monte-Carlo, along with customer service representatives and support staff at La Maison du Numérique to facilitate VoLTE activation.
Detailed instructions for activation are also available on the company's website.
