The Principality solidifies diplomatic ties with four newly accredited ambassadors in a formal reception.
On May 30, 2025, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, the Government Counselor and Minister of External Relations and Cooperation of Monaco, hosted a luncheon at the Hermitage Hotel for four newly accredited ambassadors.
These diplomats include: S.E. Mr. Mohammad Amin Nejad, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran; S.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand; S.E. Mr. Jaroslav Kurfürst, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic; and S.E. Mr. Maksat Chariev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan.
Mr. Nejad previously served as ambassador in Niger and is accredited to Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, and Liberia.
Mr. Charoensuwan held a prior position in Belgium before his current appointment.
Mr. Kurfürst also has experience in Belgium and has been recognized for his diplomatic contributions.
Mr. Chariev serves as Turkmenistan's Permanent Delegate to UNESCO while being accredited to the Portuguese Republic, with a residence in Paris.
Earlier that day, these diplomats presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince.
The lunch allowed for discussions regarding the friendship and cooperation between Monaco and the respective countries they represent, with the presence of honorary consuls from the Czech Republic and Thailand, alongside representatives from the Monaco Economic Board and the Monaco Private Label.
This meeting marked an important occasion to explore and enhance the relations of amity and collaboration that Monaco continues to nurture with Iran, Thailand, the Czech Republic, and Turkmenistan.
