New 'Players' Village' Enhances Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Experience

New 'Players' Village' Enhances Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Experience

The luxurious addition expands the tournament's facilities by over 35%, catering to the growing needs of professional players.
The 118th edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters has introduced a new feature, the 'Players' Village', located at Monte-Carlo Beach, a short distance from the tournament's main venue.

This addition increases the tournament's overall area by more than 35%.

David Massey, the tournament director, highlighted that the concept for this space, which aims to provide a luxurious atmosphere for players, has been in development for several years, inspired by Chris Kermode from the ATP and supported by Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy after discussions with the Société des Bains de Mer and other stakeholders.

The 'Players' Village' has been designed to significantly enhance the players' experience, addressing the increasing number of staff that top players travel with.

Historically, players would arrive with one or two team members; now, the top ten players often bring their entire entourage.

Massey noted that the new facilities aim to meet the expectations of elite players, matching or exceeding the standards of other Masters 1000 events on the circuit.

Constructed less than a hundred meters away from the Monte-Carlo Country Club, the 'Players' Village' required logistical adjustments for seamless connectivity with the players' changing rooms.

A dedicated corridor was created along Avenue Princesse-Grace, transitioning from the Monte-Carlo Beach premises to a parking area that was previously allocated for press use.

This arrangement allows players to travel discreetly between locations without interacting with the general public, enhancing their privacy during the tournament.

The space offers luxurious amenities designed for player well-being, including a welcoming service, a heated pool, and dining areas where refreshments are available from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In addition to a buffet service, players can access a smoothie bar.

The Monte-Carlo Beach venue has adjusted its existing infrastructure to optimize accommodations for these high-profile athletes.

A Kids Club facility will also be utilized for the children of players, with staff from Monte-Carlo Beach available to provide care.

Notably, tournament personnel will manage all player interactions in various service areas, ensuring that players receive consistent support throughout their time in the village.

Players will also have access to a fitness center, relaxation areas equipped with gaming consoles, and lounges displaying live match broadcasts.

New padel courts have been constructed specifically for the tournament, allowing players to train and engage in recreational activities.

This comprehensive array of amenities has already received positive feedback from players who visited the site prior to its official launch.

The 'Players' Village' will operate from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the tournament, reopening to clients of Monte-Carlo Beach the day after the finals.

René Blino, director of the Monte-Carlo Beach, expressed pride in hosting the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters, confirming that preparations for the new facility began in June of the previous year, resulting in a successful and complete offering for players.
