The daughter of Prince Charles de Bourbon and Princess Camilla, she has been in the public eye, recently attending high-profile events including the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix on May 25, shortly before the accident.
Reports indicate that Princess Maria Carolina lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a wall, sustaining significant injuries.

In a heartfelt message shared with her 170,000 Instagram followers, she stated, "I have an incredible chance to be alive.
I hit a wall headfirst on my motorcycle and ended up in intensive care."
The princess reflected on the gravity of her situation, emphasizing that her survival is a "miracle." She received the motorcycle as a gift for her 18th birthday, specifically a black Harley Davidson.
In her Instagram post, she included a cautionary message aimed at raising awareness about motorcycle safety.
