Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin Claims Life of 49-Year-Old
Investigation underway following the death of a motorcyclist on May 3 on Avenue Président-Kennedy.
On Saturday, May 3, at approximately 11:30 AM, a 49-year-old motorcyclist lost his life in a fatal accident on Avenue Président-Kennedy in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin.
The incident occurred between numbers 409 and 802, just after a tunnel as the motorcyclist was traveling towards Menton.
Despite life-saving efforts rendered by two off-duty nurses and a passerby before the arrival of emergency services, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Firefighters from the Principality of Monaco and the SMUR Monaco arrived shortly thereafter but were unable to revive him.
While multiple witnesses were present during the initial police investigations, authorities from the Menton police station reported challenges in locating direct witnesses to the accident.
Preliminary findings suggested that the motorcyclist, a resident of La Turbie, lost control of his motorcycle without the involvement of any other parties.
Current evidence does not indicate excessive speed or the presence of another vehicle contributing to the accident.
The investigation remains active as officials aim to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident.
An autopsy of the victim is scheduled to take place in the coming days.
