Four diplomats from Malaysia, Austria, Honduras, and Guinea present their credentials to the Sovereign Prince of Monaco.
On April 3, 2025, a formal event took place in Monaco where four new ambassadors presented their letters of credence to His Serene Highness, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco.
The ambassadors included S.E. Datuk Eldeen Husaini BIN MOHD HASHIM from Malaysia, S.E. Barbara KAUDEL-JENSEN from Austria, S.E. Luis Alberto POSADAS ALFARO from Honduras, and S.E. Senkoun SYLLA from Guinea.
A welcoming lunch was hosted by Mme Marie-Catherine CARUSO-RAVERA, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, at the Hermitage Hotel, attended by the newly accredited diplomats.
S.E. Datuk Eldeen Husaini BIN MOHD HASHIM holds a law degree from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK and a Master's in Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration in Malaysia.
He joined the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998, steadily rising through various diplomatic positions including Second Secretary at the Malaysian Embassy in Tokyo in 2003, Minister Counselor at the High Commission of Malaysia in Canberra in 2010, and most recently serving as Ambassador of Malaysia in France and Portugal since 2024.
S.E. Barbara KAUDEL-JENSEN earned a Bachelor's in Political Science from the Free University of Brussels in Belgium and holds two Master's degrees: one in European Affairs from the College of Europe and another in Public Administration from the French National School of Administration.
She commenced her career in the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs in 2004, gaining extensive experience abroad, particularly at the Austrian Representation to the European Union and the United Nations, and serving as Deputy Head of Mission to NATO before her current ambassadorial role.
S.E. Luis Alberto POSADAS ALFARO, the new Honduran ambassador, holds a law degree from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH).
He worked as an advisor at the General Procuraduría of Honduras from 1984 to 1986 before developing a legal practice specializing in civil and commercial law.
He was appointed as Ambassador of Honduras in France in 2023.
S.E. Senkoun SYLLA brings over 25 years of diplomatic experience.
After joining the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, he held various positions before being appointed to the Guinean Embassy in Beijing, initially as a Political, Economic, and Cultural Counselor and then as Chargé d'Affaires.
He was the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Japan and several other countries from 2013 to 2022, receiving the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays from the Emperor of Japan for his service.
This formal gathering marks an important moment in strengthening diplomatic ties between Monaco and these four nations.
