Hyères to Host the 20th Edition of Midi Festival from July 18 to 20, 2025
This popular pop and electronic music festival features WU LYF, Christopher Owens, and Malik Djoudi among others.
The Midi Festival, a prominent pop and electronic music event on the Côte d’Azur, will celebrate its 20th edition from July 18 to 20, 2025, in Hyères.
Established in 2005 by Frédéric Landini and supported by notable figures such as Étienne Daho, the festival has grown into a key event for enthusiasts of pop, electro, and indie music, showcasing emerging artists alongside established names.
Concerts will primarily take place at the archaeological site of Olbia, providing stunning views of the nearby Almanarre beaches.
Daily festivities are set to begin at 7:00 PM, extending until 2:00 AM on the first two days, and concluding at 1:00 AM on the final day.
The festival lineup already includes international and local artists, reflecting the current musical diversity.
Notable acts announced include Christopher Owens, former member of the indie band Girls, who is expected to present his melodic pop sound.
A highlight of the event will be the return of WU LYF, a cult Manchester band that disbanded in 2012, marking their first performance in France since their notable debut at the 2010 Midi Festival.
The group released a new single, 'A New Life is Coming,' on April 1, 2025, following their acclaimed debut album, 'Go Tell Fire The Mountain,' released in 2011.
Additional artists scheduled to perform include Chloe Slater, a British musician known for her fusion of rock and retro pop; Jasmine 4.T, a British-Nigerian singer recognized for her introspective compositions; HiTech, a French electronic music producer with diverse influences; and the post-punk band Goat Girl, known for their psychedelic elements.
Malik Djoudi, a French artist who blends electronic music with French chanson, and Rip Magic, a London-based indie rock band with electronic influences, are also part of the lineup.
In line with contemporary environmental concerns, the Midi Festival has implemented several eco-friendly initiatives, encouraging attendees to bring reusable water bottles to reduce plastic waste.
Water will be available in Tetra Pak containers, and dry toilets will be installed on-site.
An ecological team will promote waste sorting and ensure the venue's daily cleanliness.
Detailed programming information can be found on the official Midi Festival website.
