Monaco's Vibrant Events and Activities in May 2025

May 2025 promises a series of exciting events in Monaco, from motorsports to cultural festivals and outdoor activities.
May 2025 will see Monaco bustling with a variety of events, prominently featuring motorsports.

The E-Prix is set to take place over the weekend of May 3-4, followed later in the month by the highly anticipated Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix from May 22-25. Fans will have the opportunity to gather at fan zones equipped with large screens to watch their favorite drivers as the excitement unfolds on the streets of Monte-Carlo.

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Top Marques car show will be held from May 7-11, showcasing a range of new supercars, global launches, and exclusive events.

On May 11, the popular Frenchy aperitif gathering will take place at the Marché de la Condamine from 5 PM to 10 PM, inviting attendees to enjoy a festive atmosphere and a red and white dress code.

For those seeking a connection with nature, May is an ideal time to explore Monaco's many beautiful gardens.

Notable destinations include the Exotic Garden, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Japanese Garden, and the Princess Grace Rose Garden, with some gardens offering free or reduced entrance fees on Sundays.

Cultural offerings during the month include a stand-up comedy evening at the Grimaldi Forum on May 9, featuring a range of performers curated by comedian Gad Elmaleh.

Additionally, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo will perform a symphonic concert on May 11 at the Rainier III Auditorium, featuring works by Bernstein, Gershwin, Barber, and Rachmaninoff.

Family-friendly performances of Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" and Shostakovich's "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" will be held on May 14.

Children can engage in the city's vibrant atmosphere through free access to fan zones equipped with simulators and workshops organized by the Automobile Club of Monaco.

Access to the Top Marques show will also be complimentary for attendees under the age of 12. The Rainier III Nautical Stadium is set to reopen its diving boards and slide on May 6.

On May 10-11, the Yacht Club of Monaco will host the 56th International Bouquets Competition, themed 'Flowers in Motion,' open to both amateur and professional participants.

Concurrently, the International Dog Show will take place under the Fontvieille big top, organized by the Société Canine de Monaco.

In sports, AS Monaco will face Lyon on May 10 in a crucial match for the Ligue 1 standings.

Continuing the tradition, the Racing Stars Football Cup, formerly known as the Match des Pilotes, will occur on May 21, featuring a team of Monaco’s famous drivers.

The "Mare Nostrum" international swimming meeting will be held at the Olympic swimming pool on May 17-18, alongside a basketball match where the Roca Team will face Bourg-en-Bresse on May 11.

An exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Stade Louis II is currently on display, featuring archival documents and rare testimonials, enhancing local historical appreciation.

The Prince's Palace of Monaco has reopened to the public since April 2, offering visitors the chance to view its Grand Apartments and recently restored Italian Renaissance frescoes.

On May 10, the Munegu Repair Café will take place at the Marché de la Condamine, promoting the repair of transportable goods while collecting devices for charity.

Additionally, enrollment for the College Charles III and the Lycees Albert I and Rainier III will be open until June 20, 2025.

For those interested in music, a Jam Session will be held on May 7 at 6:30 PM at the Marché de la Condamine, inviting participants to showcase their vocal talents.
