Monaco Welcomes Four New Ambassadors in Official Ceremony
Ceremony held on May 30, 2025, with notable representatives from Iran, Thailand, Czech Republic, and Turkmenistan.
On May 30, 2025, Monaco officially received four new ambassadors who presented their letters of credence to Prince Albert II. The ceremony was followed by a luncheon hosted by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and interim Minister of State, at the Hermitage Hotel.
The newly accredited ambassadors included Mohammad Amin Nejad from the Islamic Republic of Iran, who previously served in Niger and is also accredited to Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, and Liberia.
The Kingdom of Thailand was represented by Sarun Charoensuwan, a former ambassador to Belgium.
Jaroslav Kurfürst represented the Czech Republic, having also held a previous post in Brussels.
Lastly, Maksat Chariev was appointed as the ambassador from Turkmenistan, concurrently serving as his country’s permanent delegate to UNESCO and accredited to Portugal.
The event was attended by the honorary consuls of the Czech Republic and Thailand, as well as representatives from the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) and the Monaco Private Label, marking a significant moment to discuss the friendly relations and cooperation between the principality and each of these nations.
