New Ambassadors Accredited in Monaco

Monaco welcomes new ambassadors from Gabon, Jordan, Paraguay, and Tunisia during a formal ceremony.
On April 1, 2025, the Government Counselor and Minister of Foreign Relations and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro-Amadei, hosted a lunch at the Hermitage hotel for newly accredited ambassadors from four countries: Marie-Edith Tassyla-Ye-Doumbeneny from Gabon, Leena Al-Hadid from Jordan, Cynthia Filartiga-Lacroix from Paraguay, and Dhia Khaled from Tunisia.

These diplomats presented their letters of credence to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco earlier in the day.

Marie-Edith Tassyla-Ye-Doumbeneny holds a master's degree in Spanish Civilizations from the University of Paris XIII-Villetaneuse and a specialized diploma in political sciences from the School of Higher Political Studies in Paris.

She joined Gabon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, beginning her career as a study officer at the General Secretariat of the National Francophonie Commission.

Tassyla has held various positions, including Cultural Counselor at the Gabonese Embassy in Belgium (2005-2008), Ambassador and Director of Protocol (2008), and Ambassador to Ethiopia.

She has served as the Gabonese Ambassador to France since January 22, 2024.

Leena Al-Hadid completed her law degree at the University of Jordan and entered Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995. Throughout her career, she has undertaken various diplomatic roles, including being responsible for human rights in Jordan's mission to the United Nations in Geneva (2004-2006), and later serving as Chief of Staff at the Jordanian Embassy in India (2001-2005).

From 2018 to 2022, Al-Hadid was Jordan's Ambassador to Austria as well as non-resident Ambassador to several Central European countries.

Cynthia Filartiga-Lacroix graduated with a degree in French language from the Diplomatic Academy of Paraguay and holds qualifications in public administration and strategic national planning.

Her career in the Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has included significant roles in various departments, as well as diplomatic missions to Colombia, Argentina, and Brazil.

Dhia Khaled earned a master's degree in private law from the University of Tunis 1 and holds a diploma in advanced studies in legal sciences.

He began his diplomatic career as a Foreign Affairs Counselor in 1997. Khaled has served as Deputy Head of Mission at Tunisia's Embassy in New Delhi (2001-2005), followed by a tenure as Economic Counselor at the Tunisian Embassy in Madrid.

He was Tunisia's Ambassador to China from 2016 to 2021 and has assumed the role of Tunisia's Ambassador to France as of January 2024.
