Trump Threatens Iran with Full Military Force Amid Escalating Conflict

The former president asserts that the U.S. would respond decisively to any Iranian attack while suggesting a potential diplomatic resolution.
Former President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Sunday, stating that the U.S. military would respond with unprecedented force if the nation were to attack the United States.

This announcement was made via his social media platform, Truth Social, where he emphasized that Washington was not involved in the ongoing Israeli attacks against Tehran.

Recent events have escalated tensions significantly, as Israeli forces conducted renewed strikes targeting Iran's nuclear program on Sunday.

These strikes were met with retaliatory missile fire from Iran, resulting in at least eight fatalities within Israeli territory.

This marked the third day of intensified military exchanges between the two adversaries.

In his message, Trump stated, "If we are attacked in any way by Iran, the full force and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down upon you at levels that have never been seen before."

In contrast to his warnings, Trump also expressed belief in the possibility of reaching an agreement between Iran and Israel to end the violent conflict.

He claimed prior knowledge of the Israeli military operation before its initiation, which commenced early on Friday.

The Israeli offensive focused on Iranian nuclear and military facilities, reportedly resulting in the deaths of numerous individuals, including high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists, according to Iranian sources.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to target "all assets of the Ayatollah regime," while Iran has responded with a barrage of missiles.

On Friday, Trump had urged Tehran to agree to a deal, warning that failure to do so could lead to even more severe attacks from Israel.

During his first term, Trump unilaterally withdrew the United States from a historic nuclear agreement with Iran, negotiated under former President Barack Obama, and reinstated sanctions, effectively undermining diplomatic efforts aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions.
