In 2025, 80% of football followers viewed the club positively, an increase from 77% in 2024. This translates to approximately 22.5 million individuals expressing favorable sentiments towards AS Monaco, positioning the club at the top of Ligue 1 popularity rankings for the first time since they claimed the championship title in the 2017-2018 season.
The survey further revealed that AS Monaco is particularly favored in five out of twelve regions across France, with 81% approval from football enthusiasts in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) region.
The club also ranked among the most supported teams in eleven of the twelve regions surveyed, including a top-three position in Île-de-France and the Centre-Val de Loire regions.

Furthermore, the club is recognized for its youth development, with 76% of participants associating AS Monaco with nurturing new talent.
Interest in the club has seen a significant uptick, with 50% of football fans in France actively following AS Monaco.
This equates to 14.1 million viewers, marking the third-highest engagement in the club's history since the commencement of such surveys in 2008. Additionally, 40% of football followers in France report regularly watching AS Monaco matches or their highlights, placing the club in the top three most followed teams in four regions and in the top six across all others.
On the pitch, however, AS Monaco faced a setback against Stade Brestois, losing 2-1 after a performance marked by defensive mistakes.
The match, which took place recently, saw AS Monaco struggle through a difficult first half, conceding two goals primarily attributed to goalkeeper Philipp Köhn's errors.
Despite an improved performance in the second half, with a penalty equalizer from Denis Zakaria following a VAR review, AS Monaco could not secure a win as Mahdi Camara scored a late goal for the hosts in added time.
Adi Hütter, the head coach of AS Monaco, previously expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance during their recent victories, indicating a good understanding among key players like Breel Embolo and Mika Biereth.
However, the defeat in Brest halted their momentum and raised concerns about their away form, as they prepare for an upcoming match against Olympique de Marseille, crucial in the ongoing chase for points in the Ligue 1 standings.
