Prince and Princess of Monaco Unveil New Sports and Leisure Venue
The Box 98 Complex Opens Its Doors Following Inauguration Ceremony
On March 28, 2025, the Prince and Princess of Monaco officially opened Box 98, a new sports and leisure complex located in the Fontvieille district of Monaco.
The ceremony included a press unveiling, after which the royal couple participated in a guided tour of the facility, wearing helmets as they engaged with notable figures from the automotive and sports industries, including Carlos Sainz Jr., Stoffel Vandoorne, Nyck de Vries, Gabriele Bortoletto, Nick Cassidy, Mitch Evans, Tadej Pogacar, and Dayton Coulthard.
Box 98, supported by the Monaco government, emerged from a proposal selected during a tender process initiated in the summer of 2024. Clivio Piccione, a former racing driver and instigator of the Box 98 project, noted that the initial designs quickly evolved into a more ambitious vision.
The complex spans 4,700 square meters and offers a diverse range of activities, including go-karting, karaoke, arcade games, billiards, bowling, a driving simulator, and dining options.
This venue has been highly anticipated in Monaco, reflecting a significant investment in recreational facilities tailored for both residents and visitors.
