Larvotto Beach Undergoes Major Renovations Ahead of Summer Season
Monaco's iconic beach prepares for summer with significant profiling work to enhance visitor experience.
From March 31 to April 18, Larvotto Beach in Monaco will undergo extensive restructuring aimed at correcting the steep slope that has developed during the winter months.
This land-based intervention will flatten the gravel mound and restore the iconic location's profile, ensuring optimal capacity and safe access to swimming areas.
To protect the exceptional natural heritage of the Principality, 120-meter retention nets will be deployed in each cove to safeguard the adjacent marine reserve from sediments generated by the construction work.
This measure reflects Monaco’s ongoing commitment to marine biodiversity conservation.
While swimming will be temporarily prohibited during the intervention, the beach will remain partially accessible depending on the progress of the work, scheduled to occur from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The swimming ban will last until April 30, specifically in areas undergoing reinforcement along the central jetty and the eastern part of the cove.
Visitors will be pleased to learn that restaurants and shops within the complex will continue to operate without restrictions.
Once the summer season is officially underway, regular maintenance will be conducted to uphold the beach's optimal conditions, thus preventing the need for further closures and ensuring a seamless beach season for both residents and tourists.
