Monaco's residents are characterized by a notable mix of nationalities, with Monégasques making up approximately 24.1% (9,262 individuals) of the population.
They are closely followed by French nationals at 21.8% and Italians at 19.5%.
The fourth largest group consists of British nationals, who account for 7.6% of the resident population.
Additionally, Swiss and Russian citizens each represent 3.1% of the population, while Belgians make up 2.7%, and Germans account for 2.5%.
Portuguese and Dutch residents both comprise 1.3% of the total demographic.
The rate of population growth in Monaco remains modest, with an increase of just 56 new residents, or 0.1%, in the past year.
However, the newcomers exhibit a significant trend, primarily arriving from France (30.9%), the United Kingdom (15%), and Italy (9.4%).
Notably, these statistics reflect the geographic origins of new arrivals, rather than their nationalities, as many individuals from the UK may hold passports from other countries.
The average age of Monaco's population has been influenced by these new residents, resulting in a slight decrease to 44.6 years (45.7 years for men and 43.4 years for women), compared to the overall average age of 47.3 years.
Demographic data show that the largest age group in Monaco consists of individuals aged 50-64 years, who represent 23.5% of the total population.
This is followed by those aged 65-79 years at 18.1%, and 35-49 year-olds at 17%.
Young adults aged 18-34 represent 15.8% of residents, while those under 18 constitute 16.1%.
Seniors aged 80 and above make up 9.4% of the population.
These demographic insights illustrate continued interest in Monaco as a destination, where the variety of backgrounds plays a significant role in shaping the unique identity of the Principality.
