Driver Found After Spectacular Vehicle Plunge Near Monaco
A car fell ten meters down a turn on Boulevard de la Turbie in Beausoleil; the driver had initially fled the scene.
In the early hours of March 26, 2025, just before 1 AM, a vehicle plunged ten meters off the Boulevard de la Turbie in Beausoleil, near Monaco.
Emergency services, including firefighters from Menton and Monaco, quickly arrived at the scene but discovered no casualties near the abandoned vehicle.
The three passengers, reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident, escaped unharmed and later presented themselves to law enforcement.
The driver had fled the scene and was subsequently the subject of an active search by the National Police of Menton.
The driver was eventually identified and summoned for questioning by the National Police.
During the interview, he acknowledged having consumed some alcohol and indicated he was fatigued at the time of the accident.
