Monaco and Hungary Forge Economic Alliance Through Business Mission
A delegation from the Monaco Economic Board returns from Budapest with new business prospects and agreements, reinforcing bilateral economic ties.
A delegation comprising ten companies from the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) participated in a meticulously organized business mission to Budapest from March 24 to 26. The visit culminated in a forum conducted in collaboration with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA) and the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, allowing each Monegasque participant to engage with a minimum of six business contacts tailored to their specific commercial objectives.
A significant milestone was marked by the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding between Guillaume Rose, the Executive Director of MEB, and Elek Nagy, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Honorary Consul of Monaco in Hungary.
This ceremony took place in the presence of Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and José-Luis Delso, Honorary Consul of Hungary in Monaco.
In addition to formal meetings, the delegation engaged in networking opportunities at more informal events, including a dinner held at the esteemed Gundel restaurant with H.E. Georges Habsbourg-Lorraine, the Hungarian Ambassador to France and Monaco.
The program also incorporated a visit to an innovative energy facility and the iconic Parliament building in Budapest.
This mission follows the visit to Monaco in June of the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó, during the inauguration of the new Hungarian Consulate in Monaco.
These engagements signify a mutual desire to strengthen the economic relationship between Monaco and Hungary.
