First meeting of the Steering Committee to combat corruption held on March 28, 2025.
On March 28, 2025, Monaco convened the inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee for its comprehensive anti-corruption strategy, chaired by Isabelle Berro-Amadéi, Government Counselor and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
The committee was established under Sovereign Order No. 11.092, enacted on February 18, 2025, with a mandate to develop a comprehensive strategy and determine necessary measures to implement recommendations made by the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO) during its evaluation of the Principality.
The primary objectives of this initiative are to prevent corruption and promote integrity within central governments and law enforcement agencies.
During the meeting, Berro-Amadéi expressed her satisfaction with the establishment of the committee, highlighting its pivotal role in achieving tangible outcomes, with a status report expected by the end of December 2025 that will outline progress on this critical issue.
The formation of this committee underscores the commitment and determination of the relevant authorities in Monaco to advance efforts in the ongoing fight against corruption.
The committee comprises various key figures, including the Secretary of State for Justice, government counselors and ministers, the Director of Cabinet for H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, the Director of Cabinet for the Minister of State, the Secretary General of the Government, the Head of Public Safety, the Director of Legal Affairs, the Director of Human Resources and Public Service Training, along with the Inspector General overseeing the General Administration Inspection.
