Monaco Unveils Revolutionary Entertainment Complex Box 98
Box 98 combines motor sports, immersive technology, and leisure activities in a state-of-the-art facility in Monaco.
Monaco is set to launch Box 98, an innovative entertainment complex that will transform the leisure landscape of the Principality.
Scheduled to open on April 1, the new center is located on the roof of the Fontvieille Shopping Center, occupying a space of 4,700 square meters and designed to create a comprehensive ecosystem for motorsport and family entertainment.
The complex replaces the former site of the Prince Albert II Collection of automobiles and aims to provide a unique motorsport experience, as shared by Clivio Piccione, a passionate Monaco-based driver and mastermind behind the project.
Following the closure of the electric karting facility at the Parking des Pêcheurs, which had operated for ten years, Piccione sought to elevate the driving experience in the region.
Box 98 features an indoor karting circuit that closely mimics the iconic Grand Prix of Monaco, showcasing significant elevation changes and tight turns.
The 400-meter track boasts 90% of its layout above ground – a world-first achievement.
Visitors will have the opportunity to pilot from a fleet of 30 state-of-the-art electric karts, categorized for adults, children, and two-seaters.
The circuit can accommodate up to ten karts simultaneously, enabling competitive racing environments.
Pricing for adult sessions starts from €25 for eight minutes, with various race formats available.
In addition to karting, Box 98 will include nearly 30 different leisure activities, such as six interconnected professional simulators, mini-remote-controlled buggies, arcade games, four bowling lanes, and karaoke spaces.
A sports bar within the facility will feature multiple large screens showcasing a variety of sporting events, including football and basketball matches, as well as auto races.
The bar offers dining options and drinks, featuring memorabilia from the former Stars and Bars venue displayed behind glass.
The complex has the capacity to host up to 500 people and is positioned to revitalize the Fontvieille Shopping Center, particularly by attracting younger audiences seeking diverse entertainment options.
Box 98 will also feature an immersive technology experience where visitors can create personalized accounts to track their performance in real-time and earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for prizes.
Operating hours will extend from Tuesday to Thursday between 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, Friday from 11:30 AM to midnight, Saturday from 10:00 AM to midnight, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. It is noted that karting activities will primarily be available in the afternoons.
This new entertainment destination is poised to offer an unparalleled combination of thrills and cutting-edge technologies to visitors in Monaco.
